The Cosmic Calendar
Section titled “The Cosmic Calendar”The biblical narrative reveals not just individual salvation, but a cosmic timeline of divine government. From the cross to the New Jerusalem, we can trace the phases of Christ’s authority and its ultimate destiny.
Phase 1: Pre-Incarnate Glory
Section titled “Phase 1: Pre-Incarnate Glory”“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1)
The Eternal State Before Time
Section titled “The Eternal State Before Time”- The Son possesses divine nature eternally
- Perfect fellowship within the Trinity
- Has not yet received “the name above every name”
- No cosmic governmental mission yet undertaken
The Divine Plan Formed
Section titled “The Divine Plan Formed”- Ephesians 1:4: “Chosen us in him before the foundation of the world”
- 1 Peter 1:20: “Foreknown before the foundation of the world”
- The redemptive timeline planned in eternity
Phase 2: Incarnation and Humiliation
Section titled “Phase 2: Incarnation and Humiliation”“Though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself” (Philippians 2:6-7)
The Great Descent
Section titled “The Great Descent”- Divine glory veiled in human flesh
- Subject to human limitations and suffering
- Perfect obedience under the Law
- Faithful unto death, even death on a cross
The Crucial Pattern
Section titled “The Crucial Pattern”Following the ancient template—faithful service through testing before elevation to authority.
Phase 3: Exaltation and Cosmic Authority
Section titled “Phase 3: Exaltation and Cosmic Authority”“Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name” (Philippians 2:9)
What Jesus Receives
Section titled “What Jesus Receives”- The divine name itself (likely YHWH)
- Cosmic lordship over all creation
- The right to receive worship due to God alone
- Authority as reward for cross-obedience
The Father’s Invitation (Psalm 110:1)
Section titled “The Father’s Invitation (Psalm 110:1)”“The LORD says to my Lord: ‘Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.’”
Key Elements:
- The session at the Father’s right hand
- The “until” factor—this has a specific purpose and endpoint
- The promise of complete victory over all enemies
Phase 4: Present Reign - “The Until Period”
Section titled “Phase 4: Present Reign - “The Until Period””“He must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet” (1 Corinthians 15:25)
Current Reality
Section titled “Current Reality”- Christ exercises delegated cosmic authority now
- Progressive subjugation of all opposing powers
- Every knee bowing, every tongue confessing (Philippians 2:10-11)
- The church participating in divine names and authority
Daniel’s Vision Unfolding (Daniel 2:34-35)
Section titled “Daniel’s Vision Unfolding (Daniel 2:34-35)”- The stone “cut without hands” striking earthly kingdoms

The Completion Moment
Section titled “The Completion Moment”When absolutely everything is subjected—then and only then does the “until” end.
Phase 6: The Great Transition
Section titled “Phase 6: The Great Transition”“When all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to him who put all things in subjection under him, that God may be all in all” (1 Corinthians 15:28)
The Stunning Climax
Section titled “The Stunning Climax”- Jesus returns cosmic authority to the Father
- Not defeat or diminishment, but mission accomplished
- The purpose of the “until” period is fulfilled

The Father’s Exception (1 Corinthians 15:27)
Section titled “The Father’s Exception (1 Corinthians 15:27)”“But when it says, ‘all things are put in subjection,’ it is plain that he is excepted who put all things in subjection under him.”
The Father was never subject to the Son’s cosmic authority—he remained the source and destination throughout.
